Clean up
First, what do early C4 owners use on the dash? My dash needs to be cleaned, and I want to to look as good as it can. What should I use for the dash trim, and for the componets, (speedo, tach, etc)?
Second, I think I've seen Simple Green as the choice for the engine compartment? I know Advance auto parts doesn't have it, where can I get it, and is it the best choice?
Third, for the exterior, Zaino? Is that the stuff to use?
Fourth, the defogger vent on my doors is broken, can you buy them to just insert into the door panel?
Fifth, I had the hood adjusted by the dealer who sold me the car, (part of the deal). Well, it still rattles when driving, and doesn't pop up when the release is pulled. Should it pop up? Shouldn't it latch positively and not rattle? They replaced the springs and what they called the shock absorbers, and it still isn't right.
That will do, I'm sure lots of others will be interested in the answers.
Thanks.

Your dash has a rubber type coating, just use any plastic non oily cleaner and wipe clean, sometimes nothing really works

Napa, or any parts store carries it

Definately

Needs to be adjusted correctly - take it back and have them do it right

See the Car Care forum under General for all the varying opinions your brain can handle
I like Master Formula Metal Polish for underhood "sparkle" after the regular cleanup. Does great job on all the aluminum stuff...but takes some elbow grease.
Zaino on the outside is the best IMHO..plan on spending a weekend if you start with the clay bar. But if the paints in good shap you'll love the results
Have fun
