LTx Computers - do they interchange
:
I'm looking at having a computer reflashed and would like retain my stock computer. Do I specifically need a computer for the LT4 out of a vette or would a computer out of an F-body, Caprice, Buick Fleetwood, ect. work just as well?
Download and keep the original .bin file and if you want to go back, simply flash the original file straight back on. It will be like as if you never replaced it.

How would I go about doing that? Forgive me... I'm OBDII stupid
Ive never looked into it for a 96, but LT1 edit is one way, and i think Tuner Cat is available for the OBD2 vehicles as well, ill see if i can find it.

AWESOME!!!! Thanks Case
I looked into LT1 Edit a while back but was also told I needed some kind of data capture software to help with the fuel mapping and spark curves and stuff... overall it was a bit mroe than I wanted to spend at the time. I wanted to finish my mods first then worry about the reprogramming... well now I don't have much choice
No worries mate, glad to help Ive never used LT1 Edit so i dont know how the 2 compare, but from what i read in one of the links i posted above and my personal experience with TunerCat, it does everything youll need to do.
