Waz up ZR1fred??? I am in Sierra Vista for a couple weeks on business for uncle Sam. My inferance was that it didn't as much or as long to achieve the best results.....or something to that end....
Picked a great time to go there! Hope you enjoy your stay!
Thanks, I was stationed at Ft Huachuca 94-98 and it has been good revisiting with old friends still in the local area and seeing first hand the changes/improvements that have taken place in town and the surrounding areas. And I miss the low humidity and "Dry Heat"! Only draw back is I am here and my 94 is back home tucked in the garage. Can hardly wait to get back and the C4

Don't rush back to Georgia too fast. The pollen is thick right now. It's a 24/7 job to keep the car clean.
Well, in this wonderful world we live in, it take all kinds. It usually turns out that what one criticizes is in reality a weakness or a flaw in themselves. Maybe its jealousy, envy or just someone who has nothing in their own life that makes them as happy as your vette makes you! Keep driving that great car known as a "vette" and the heII with the rest!
Personally though, I think the only a-hole in this thread is your co-worker. People that know the least tend to be the most opinionated on this sort of stuff.
I have owned my Vette for 21 years and if I HAD TO stereotype anyone it would be that most Trans Am/Camaro drivers I have come across are the @#$holes. Must be an inferiority complex . As far as driving my vette, I would personally like people to just leave me alone!!!! instead of trying to race me or impress me with their newer faster boring cars.
Oh, and I have run into (no, not literally) quite a few C5 owners that wouldn't give me the time of day when they saw I was driving a C4 and also a few C5 owners that are the nicest people you'll meet. Wonder if C6 owners will thumb their noses at the arrogant C5 drivers.

To be honest, i never seen a corvette i didnt like, Ive seen plenty i wouldnt pay the money for, but none i didnt like. In this industry the corvette always seemed to be king of the hill..
even the wrecks ive seen, i always felt sorta bad, first for the driver, the comment goes sorta like " hope no one got hurt"...then..." its a shame to see the vette all banged up"
No other car seem to generate that sort of feeling.

Even my buddies in the military almost got choked up when they heard my car was in an accident and when I had finished repairing it, one of my buddies was back for leave he FLEW out the door to look at my car... he Almost seemed more excited than me that it was fixed and he's never even ridden in it. Even my friend from South Korea is as attached to my car as I am.
As for the gold chains, he doesn't seem to know much about the generations. I believe that stereotype began late C3 and ended there. He needs to go for a ride with an open mind in a Corvette. And not a crazy driver the first time, that would ruin it for some (ridding with my uncle (and it wasn't his own vette) when I was 10 was-at the time-my scariest experience). Driving my car is my happy place.
Owning a Corvette, from what I've observed, is like being part of an old time community. Everyone cares and is willing to help. There are tons of get togethers. It's not something you get with just a fellow American, at least in my corner of the world.
See personally, I think it's much more of a problem when posters like this hate other Corvette owners due to jealousy or whatever. Your little Honda driver isn't worth the bandwidth of this thread.

Wife told me this morning that there was enough pollen on my Blue Jeep Liberty that it actually was a greenish shade of yellow from bumber to bumber. At least my allergies aren't acting up right now. By 7 April when I return maybe most of the pine pollen will be washed away! HAHAHA

I'm not sure it will rain by then. We haven't had any rain since the bad storms with the tornados that hit Enterprise AL. and Americus Ga.
