Hey , just a question for anyone whose done it. I learned the hard way about using non GM weatherstripping. but am considering the replacement visors from Madvet due to them being 1/2 the price of GM. Anyone else go this route and how are they if you did? I don't ever use mine ,as I'm too tall to see w/ them down, but can't stand the floppy ears and poor looks of mine anymore. Opinions needed , Thanks
If originality is important you might prefer aftermarket in the case of replacement sunshades (GM part name). The GM replacement sunshades have the later C5 style lighted mirrors and later airbag warning labels which are quite different from your originals (not sure if your 95 sunshades have airbag warning labels but 96 does). There are some very good aftermarket replacement sunshades out there with correct lighted mirrors but without labels. Another feature of some of the aftermarket sunshades is better backboard material that will not break where the originals did leaving you with floppy ear syndrome which is common.
there is a link in the above thread that shows how to fix the floppyness ....unfortunatley my sun visors have the same floppy problem but i just havent gotten around to doing anything about it good luck with yours and let us know how it turns out
