C4 speedometer removal...Help!!!

OK, here is the deal, I have to send my 1991 speedometer to get it fxed, but I don't want to pay $25 for a macanic to remove and then $25 to install it again for me, I want to do it myself, please, I need help on how to remove my speedometer, thanks

Also, I am getting my dash completely redone for $300, is that a good deal???

Define "getting completely redone". If you can't, then you aren't getting a good deal.

completly fixed, but I can't get the dam face place that gets to the dash off, I don't know what the heck to do, unless break that shi....

You won't get the lense out without lowering the steering column down. There is a bracket that holds it up, but you must remove the husk panel first. Also, if you attempt this, disconnect the battery, and be careful around the airbag connections.

Once you get the hush panel off, you will see two yellow connectors with warning tags, these are for the air bag. In the FSM, it recommends disconnecting these to prevent accidentally setting off the airbag.
