Default Clutch question

I think my clutch is on its way out, car drives great no slipping but the 2nd time I added clutch fluid and there are no leaks. Is my thinking correct does anyone know how long I have or there is really no telling until it starts slipping. 93 coupe

Ideas and advice would be appreciated

I have 93 6-speed also.I belive the fluid is for your clutch slave unit hyd. fluid.I would look at the slave next to the trans.see if any fluid is under the car.Maybe some one else has some better ideas. Tim

2nd time adding clutch fluid? It's going somewhere. Check between the carpet and firewall behind the pedals. Next, I'd pull the slave out of the bell housing and inspect it for leaks. Pull the boot off the slave push rod to see if any fluid is getting beyond the seal. And run a clean, dry finger in the hole of the bell housing. Hopefully no clutch fluid is making its way in there. When the hydrollic portions of the clutch (master & slave cylinders, line connecting the two) start to wear out, they cause the syncros in your tranny to wear faster.

There are many other good threads on the forum. Run a search.

I took my master and slaves apart to deburr and ensure the seals were installed correctly. If you read some of the old threads on this topic you'll find out about the manufacturing issues with these parts.

Good Luck!

Maybe someone can help, I too had a fluid leak....I replaced the master cylinder/reservoir......had some issues with bleeding it...but finally got the clutch to working....then after about 6 weeks I checked the reservoir and it was empty......I have looked on the outside and inside of the firewall followed the lines down and spent hours underneath the car inspecting the slave cylinder with both the pedal pushed in and not....I cannot find the leak.. I know it is a sealed system, and the fluid has to be going somewhere...but where? Is there anyway the fluid could be going into the clutch housing?
