For those in the great Northeast I think there is still time to finish the winter projects. As I'm sitting here looking out the window at the snowstorm! WTF!
I just drove the car yesterday since it was somewhat descent out. My marina at the lake opens today! I haven't even had a chance to ride the new HD.
I don't think winter is going to be over anytime soon. So while its crappy outside maybe I just will start some of the winter projects that I haven't even started yet.
Down here in Houston our Yankee summer is about to end ( Oct to may 1st ) . Beautiful bike'n ,Vett'n , lite plane flying weather .
I'm finishing up my son's R700-4 tranny . This Winter I've been enrolled in a Auto -tranny re-bldg course @ a Community College here. I'm wrapping it up & installing it very soon . We got a 9 1/2 " torque conv. from Pete K .
I'm nervous about the 1st run in it . I now know how many parts are involved in it now , & one part in wrong or left out & I'll never hear the end of it.
Wish me luck ,yeah I know , luck has nothing to do with it if I paid attention during re-assembly & did it right . Yeah right .
Yeah I'm in the northeast also, its snowing here too, I'm with you when you say WTF. This time last year it was already nice and we had a few days that went into the high 70s. When am I going to get to drive the vette with the roof off?
haha if i was in the north east i would expect the snow posibally but not in tennessee but this morning it decided to snow yay i love our global warming

I have faith in your work.
I have to install my own converter as well. Can't wait for the weather to break. I also made the mistake of using teflon valve seals on my new 383. Every damn time I use them, they puff blue smoke. You think I would learn from my own mistakes
Next on the list is to replace them with viton pc seal, then back to the track to put a tune up on the car. After that, torque converter time

I just wished I had a garage so I could start my spring projects that @ this rate should be around June . Instead my car is sitting in a storage unit with a dead battery just waiting for me to take it out . Looks like its not just Vermont though. I had a walk through with a Realtor yesterday so I hope soon I'll be selling this place and getting one with a garage.
Finally finished up the intake manifold project today. I didn't mark the distributor really well when I was pulling it out, so I spent more than a few hours trying to get the timing right again. Runs great now though!
Still have a few things to take care of, like the manual fan switch, oil change and some paint touch-up. I think the heater core will be waiting for a little while yet -- I'll just do the bypass for right now. Hopefully hitting the drag strip this coming weekend.
