I had a small oil drip from my 89. I crawled underneath and found 3 bolts missing from the oil pan. I replaced and tightened all bolts and now no more leak.
I was looking at the oil spots on the garage floor were my 1989 roadster rests, and thought...hmmm, i'll put some cardboard under the front, and try and figure were its comming from...next day..pull out the card board...
Well...lemme sing you a song
Old Mcvette man had a vert e..i...e...i..o with a drip drip here and a drip drip there...everwere a drip drip!
The cardboard looked like a modern art masterpiece!
i actually ( with the aid of much black silicone ) fixed the water leaks. Valve covers i did already so its not those. ive narrowed it down to rear main seal and/or oil pan

Hey, that could be some cool art work for the wall. The day when you can look back and say....Remember those days......
Hi all. First post here. I'll update my profile and add some pics soon but I needed to add to this thread.
Just got a new used 1994 Polo green. When I parked I smelled oil burning. Took it in for a nice Mobil 1 oil change and he said the "speedometer adapter" is leaking onto the exhaust. Said it's not a big deal and if I ever change the exhaust, which I plan to do, that would be a good time to seal it up. Does this make sense to anyone?
Thanks

Many years ago I was a paratrooper and I was jumpmaster on a jump when I hung out the door of the plane to make sure no other aircraft around, I noticed oil running down the side of the plane ( a old C123) I told the air Force loadmaster what I saw, He said thats good when it stops we got a problem.

Mine does the same thing. I'll store it for the winter, the seals dry out and it'll leak at the speedo adapter (and other common areas) for a couple of days until they're moistened back up again from oil circulation.

Chris!?
You collect this rare art too!?!?!?
we should collaborate and discuss opening a gallery somewhere!
This almost motivates me to go clean the drip pan off and then after my car does its nasty all over the drip pan I can post it and you can tell me if my art is better or worse than yours.........
