Congrats on a beautiful polo green vette.

I have always loved the polo green.

I have never heard anyone; ever, say that they liked their early C4 better than their late C4.

Sometimes it is better to stop throwing money in a car and get the one you want.

I can understand not wanting to spend the money and time for the transmission swap.

All 93's where built in the 40th year of the Corvette. 93-53=40 The Ruby Red cars RPO Z25 are the 40th "PACKAGE". Only the Ruby cars have the 40th emblem on the fenders/edge of hood. You will love the 93, my neighbor has the polo green but his is a 96. Almost as pretty as the Ruby Red.
Just in case you are wondering, I have a Ruby Car. No offense meant!

Derek, send me a PM. I noticed you live in Worcester and I'm right down 146 in North Smithfield. Want to go for a drive on Sunday and let our 93's stretch their legs?

While I hesitate to disagree with a current, '93 owner like VetteUSA, I will offer a differing opinion. Keep the ASR on at all times except when you're in a controlled situation and have plenty of room to drive such as at an autocross event. Dependent on so many things, this car can get away from you---from a lite, going around a corner, a curve, an on-ramp, etc.

There is a fairly good reason Corvette designed it into the car in '92 C4, C5 and C6.

For instance, in case you use the car in the winter/colder months (doesn't have to be winter to get down below 40 or so), depending again (mostly) on tires, and road conditions, your car good easily lose traction very quickly at many different speeds. While you can overpower ASR, it may be the only thing that keeps you from a bad situation.

Try it out in an empty parking lot with not too many lite poles around. It's also a good way to get a feel for the car. If after that you feel confident running around without asr, have at it.

Just my suggestions. Good luck with the car.

Actually, I agree with you to a point. I completely forgot about the breaking-in period of getting used to the power of the LT1. When I first got my 93, I left the ASR on all the time. It took me a little while to get warmed up to the idea of having it off. It was just a matter of time before I got used to how the car felt and how it acted. As a side note, only during bad weather do I leave the ASR on. The rest of the time it's off.

Congratulations on your new Vette. Looks like a real Beauty.
The ASR (Traction control) is standard for all '93's. You're probably refering to the Adjustable Suspension Package of which there were only 824 in '93.

I've got a 94 Polo Green with at. It runs great, and the ASR is great. It keeps you straight when you are in a hurry. It's fun to light up the tires, but, in the rain and slick stuff, the ASR is good to have. I think you'll have a good time in it.

Newer sucks.
05, 85, 85, 69. And when this '05 sells, the '85 will be my newest car.

The older they are the more they get driven.

Keep an eye on your ECM. They are hard to find/replace nowdays without paying a premium.
