Ouch!!!

actually, i was on my way to get paint and crap so I could "fix" the apartment I just moved out of. I was already in a bad mood, which probably added to the "rush" I was in. Stupid apartment doesnt have a deposit, they have a non refundable "redecorating fee" they use to fix the apartment up... so I was doubly mad that I had to spend my time and money, to do something they already charged me to do in the first place...
All I could do was shake my head and think "man what a dubmass I am for doing what I always make fun of people for doing and running into someone and trying to be in a rush"....
so yeah... just sit back and relax... its soooo not worth it in the end.
I couldn't have been more laid back today... I was stuck in traffic as usual going to walmart after work yet again for MORE aggrivating apartment fixer upper supplies... but this time, I just waited. I had plenty of room in front of me, and when the mad rush started for the green light, I took my time. The people behind me were honking all pissed of, but you know what... after what experience showed me yesterday... I just let them honk.
BTW: George Foreman grill = pet peeve
Don't even get me started on that subject

Actually crap, I went in one once when I first moved down here, that was 3 years ago. I felt so dirty afterwards.

I'd goto the private owned local ACE, but its also not convenient.
Our walmart sucks for the fact that it's just barely on the outskirts of the city, and its the closest thing to shop at for all the trailer trash towns just outside (everythjing on SR50, the local guys know what I mean haha, Bithlo, Christmas, Chuliota, etc). Lets just say, the majority of people flooding into this particular walmart all own beatup trucks or suvs, have a collection of cars in the yard (non running) and their husbands or boyfriends are at home watching TV and drinking a beer while the woman and her 10 kids are out shopping at the walmart. There are no cultural majorities either, its just one big steaming pot of slumness that goes in this particular location.
AND... to add to the mix of stupidity, this is the umm... "spanish" side of town kind of, its getting worse. All our local fast food places have spanish as the primary lauguage, even on the printed menus!! You have to almost ask for anything english. And none of THOSE people can drive period!
THEN... you have UCF (Univ of Cen Fla) and VCC (Valencia Community College) which are both huge colleges right next to each other... and all THOSE idiot kids that can't drive either.
Just the drive to and from work each day.. not even 5 miles anymore each way, I can witness 1-2 accidents a day, COUNTLESS red light runners, more kids and people with cellphones shoved up their face doing insta-lane changes without signaling into places they can't even fit in to begin with....
ARRGGGGGGGG!
I really hate this side of town, but the wife doesn't want to move anywhere else (like 45mins north or south would be my prime choice)... oh well

At least I am 30 mins from the beach and 10 mins from work..thats about the only plus.

America (Kalifornia) is a melting pot, its over flowing.

Gary
I gots two Broncos and two motorcycles and the Vette. The Vette is harder for folks to see than the motorcycles are. People are always backing in front of me in parking lots. Got to act like you are the invisible man(woman).
The top of my Vette is lower than the door handle on my lowest Bronco, SUV drivers just can't see you.

If its quality items I want, I go elsewhere... but then you still run into selection issues. The only "small guys" around are places like Ace, who don't carry big selections of some stuff (ceiling fans, light fixtures, cables and electrical, etc)... so theres nowhere else to go except places like Lowes...
The only reason I goto the local privately owned neighborhood Ace is for hard to find stuff like speciality screws of fasteners... and I spend TONS of money there getting propane refills for all my grills. Their service there is excellent, but they just don't have the selection that the bigger stores have when it comes to larger items.

Especially when you're one of them.
