antenna issues
i'm doing some work on a c4, i'm thinking its a 86 but i could be wrong. anyways i put in another antenna unit (the old one stoped working) it works fine, except when the car is turned off it seems to continue drawing power. every couple seconds i can here it click, and it gets hot. Has anyone heard of or have had this problem before? any help would be great.

The antenna has an internal switch which gets activated at each end of its travel (up and down). This switch turns off the motor AND makes a connection to the opposite wire which when powered by the antenna relay makes the antenna go up (if down), or down (if up). Your antenna is not activating this internal switch far enough to turn the motor off. You need to get a warranty replacement for the antenna you installed.
