Has anyone replaced their bushings with the poly bushings if so was it worth it and did the car handle much better or squeak? Thanks thinking of doing mine.
I did the rear in mine about 3 weeks ago. Did strut rods and control arms. It feels alittle stiffer, and no squeaks use the lubricant they supply you. I have poly on my 77 on all four corners and I'm happy with it. the fronts on the c4 were still in good shape so when they need to be changed they will be upgraded too.
I installed the energy suspension hyperflex kit last summer. That along w/ all new ball jts and tie rod ends, have made a great improvement in my 95. Feels so flat in a tight turn and no squeaks, either. Used all the grease supplied w/ the kit and added in some marine grade lube . on to that. I feel that it has really helped mine.
Yes poly is worth it. Did that last winter alone with other things. It feels like a new car. No squeaks yet. The handling is great but I added other mods in the suspension that also help the handling.
No squeaks, but I used alot of that lube that is worse than snot to get off your hands. My car had 133k on it. I dedided to rebuild and modify everything.
I did my full rear and both sway bars with poly a couple years ago along with Z51 ho shocks. The difference is amazing, the ride is definately stiffer, like the way I think it should be. I lubed the hell out of the bushings and they were good for about a year, now they creak when pulling into the driveway. Otherwise I don't notice the noise.

No squeaks, the polys didn't provide much of an improvement. However, my bushings were in great shape when I changed them my car had about 50K on it. I was replacing the D36 with a D44 and lowering the car too, so I figured might as well throw in some bushings while I'm in there.
