Everybody, looking for some opinion here. I own 2 C3's and most of my expertise is there. I rescued my 94 from a parts yard. It now has 71k on it and the stock shocks. Looking to replace them. Don't want to spend a fortune. Car is occassionally freeway driven and taken to shows, no racing, maybe 1k miles a year unless I go to Vegas.
Saw a set of KYB's, inexpensive at $150 with me installing them--no biggie.
Who knows what? Appreciate the info.
I put KYBs on my 94 once, they were a good value and performed well but when they wore out I decided to put Bilsteins back on, I don't like the harsh ride as compared to the KYBs but they will last far longer, but then again for what they cost they should.
i have been using kyb since 83,have only blown one out in all that time and it was in my z-car.great shock for the money hands down.i have a set in my 95-lt1 vette with a nice ride for daily driving.

For what you want from a shock, the KYB's would serve you well.
Bought Rustoleum Hard Hat Yellow spray paint, removed the KYB stickers and sprayed them. Let them dry 2 days and installed them. Other than no stickers, you could not tell the diffrerence.
dont the bilsteins come with a life time warranty??
just get them 're-done'
It costs almost as much to get them "re-done" as it does to buy new. They do not paint them either so you still have an old looking shock unless you buy new.
