Default Radio problems

My radio in my 1990 coupe was not putting out hardly any sound at all. I followed the tech tips for repairing my amps. 2 worked but still are not very loud(front 2). However my back ones were burn't up. I bought some amps that came out of a convertable from someone on the forum. Will these work for my car. He did not have the plug(harness) that connects to the speakers and mine are saudered in. I could not find a plug to fit, so I cut one off a computer power box ,and spliced the wires into my speaker wires. However, all I get when I plug them in is popping sounds. Please help.

I'm having trouble with my radio too, my tape deck spins and the display will also say it is picking up radio signal yet there is no sound, are my speakers shot? I've also read something about a security feature that disables the radio if the car is broken into. My car was stolen while the original owner had it but it was recovered before any major damage occured (ripping out interior and such) Anybody know whats up?

If you have a Bose system, there should be a relay in the dash on the passenger side. I'm not sure of the number. It is located just right of the main console. Remove the lower passenger shroud and look up towards the center of the dash, on the aluminum bracket.
