I went to my first cruise in today. A lot of fun. But, with an old car, it seems you seldom get a perfect day. I'm coming home, top off, doing about 75, sun shining life is good. I look down at the DIC...
Service Engine Soon.
I checked all gauges, and everything was good, so I continued on home. Pulled the code, code 32. Looked it up, looked at the procedure to test.
I have 2 questions, first, does anyone have a pic of where this thing is? I wouldn't know an egr if it fell out of the sky on my head. Second, the procedure in the manual says pull a vacuum on the valve. I don't have a pump, but I've seen a reference to using the car's vacuum lines to pull vacuum on the egr. Anyone have this?
dale egr is under the plenum to get at it you have to pull the plenum off it is prob just built up with carbon a lot of times the light will go out on its own after you turn car off and let it set not sure if they is a way to clean without taking it off maybe some one will chime in geo.

Thanks Geo. The light did go out. But the code is latched in the computer. I'm sort of fussy, so if there's something wrong, it will annoy me until I fix it.
