My first Corvette was a 1973 coupe. I was a 20 year old Marine. What fun! After years without a vette I finally got into another one in November of 2002. It was an '88 coupe-white with Flame Red interior. It had 88K miles and ran great.
That car was my DD from Nove 2002 until September of last year. It has been a great car. Last September I got a 2002 Blk/Lt Oak convertible and it is my DD. Yesterday another forum member (I'll let him chime in when ready) flew in and drove the '88 home. That car has been tremendous and I hope he and his wife enjoy it as much as I did.
I really love my C5 but I will always love the C4 too. I think the best looking vette I've seen in years was advertised on Ebay last year. It was a blk/blk/blk convertible in Beverly Hills. If I remember right it was manual and had pretty low miles for $15 or $18K. It was absolutely beautiful.
Anyway, I was able to do many things to that car with YOUR HELP. You guys are great and I will check in from time to time because this has been home for a long time.
That new owner would be me, and yes my wife and I are very very happy to finally own our first Corvette. She drives like a dream and my wife now wants it for her own.... Too bad right now we can only afford this one and not a sister to go with her.
Thanks again, it was a pleasure to meet both you and your wife. As well as a very big pleasure to drive this fine automobile home on father's day weekend.

I hope we can cruise to Bloomington one day and we will meet you along the way.
