Default Headlight/hood alignment

When the lights are closed is there any way to adjust the fit. The lights leading edge is a bit lower than the hood.

Yes, there is a way. You need to adjust the mounting screws on the actual headlight cover. You can slide it up and down. Zak.

Well, when you remove the headlight there is a screw in each side, and once you take the headlight housing off, the headlight will be exposed and then you loosen the screws that hold the flat cover on (the part you see when the lights are off). Once you loosen it up you should be able to slide it wherever you need it. I hope that helps, and I hope I didn't make it too confusing. Zak.

There is a stop screw with a rubber hex shaped adjuster that you can adjust in or out. There are also two, that I know of, 10mm bolts that hold the lid to the assembly. The stop screw has to be adjusted with the headlights in the on position, and the 10mm bolts are adjusted with the headlights in the off position. Take a look, easy to find.

Yes, you will find an adjustable rubber stop with a lock nut. Loosen the lock nut, and adjust it in, or out, to get them level, then tighten the lock nut back down. They should look like this....

And if they are off right to left or only in one corner you can loosen the cover screws and adjust properly (it will raise or lower the cover with respect to the hood). I spent about two hour after I got my car painted making sure they were level and centered within the hole.
