84 Vette Value

84 silver, A4 in good shape. Sold $5,250.
84 black custom with hole in hood and scoop. Built motor and nicely done for competition or street.. No sale. Bid up to $21,000 but did not meet reserve.
84 red, A4, faded paint, had to be pushed onto the floor. Sold for $1,750.
As a group the C4s were getting few bids and most of them were low. Not much respect for us out there in Corvette land. The ZR1s and Grand Sports were the exception.
It's worth what somebody is willing to pay for it. If somebody has an affinity for that particular year, color, etc, they may be willing to pay a premium for it. Conversely, if few people are looking for that particular car, it may not bring much at all.
"Value" only matters one time....when you're trying to sell it. If you're really curious as to what it's worth, put it on eBay.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Love the corvette.
Keep the corvette.
But if you want to sell the corvette for a decent price. . . Don't get in a hurry.
The guy; I bought mine from, had been trying to sell it for over a year, before he found a stooge "like me", to buy it.

You car is much closer to the $4k guess than the $8k one. However, if you are very patient, you will eventually get lucky with a first-time buyer who didnt do his homework. Just dont be in a hurry.

Looked through the Rapid City S.D. paper and found these for examples to compare.
85 coupe, 70K mi. $8750. no other description.
85 coupe, 89K mi. $6500. Described as fully loaded, power everything, sports seats, aftermarket sound system, usual sales pitch.
I'm not trying to sell anything mind you, just tossing out some comparable prices from this part of the country.
I go everywhere in mine and considering there was over 51,000 made I rarely ever see one......wonder how many are left?
It's a nice piece to keep stock, it was a very significant turning point for Corvette production. it will be appreciated. All vettes have some kind of issues pick your poison.

$8000.00 for a clean 84 is reasonable in the rust belt.Is this you in the link below with your 58 ??

Posting a handful of ads for asking prices means nothing. I acknowleged there are stupid people who pay too much. There are even more stupid people who ask too much, as well as there are stupid people who overvalue their cars simply because they own them. Although, the $15k asking price was so funny I had to catch my breath before I started to type.
I could post 10 ads apiece of people asking ridiculous prices for each of the year Corvettes I have right now. It doesn't make me ignorant enough to believe they are worth that.

A CLEAN 84 is worth $8000.00 in the rustbelt, I posted links to vehicles being sold in HIS area for that and more. To post it is worth $4000.00 is insulting, I know it and so do you. You can purchase a 1984 for that kind of money from an IDIOT or one that is beat to death. What can he get for his car ? There is only one way to find out but for you to chime in with $4000.00 dollars is

A 9 out of 10 with 41K miles and you have people telling you $4000.00
IGNORE THESE PEOPLE
If you ever want to sell it for $4K I'll buy it and I really don't need a third Corvette but I wouldn't mind making an EASY $2000.00 dollars ++ I would ask $7500.00 .
My favorite car is not a 1984 Corvette
I do like my Corvettes very much, they're really neat they have four wheel disc brakes, and over 400chp.
