700R4 Problems
I am a Corvette owner with a son who is experiencing problems with his 700R4 transmission. He owns a 1990 IROC Camaro. He has a ZZ383 engine and the transmission has a shift kit and 2800 stall converter. He is having a problem with shifts from first to second. The transmission does not shift from first to second until it hits around 5000Any ideas? It had been working properly until recently. The mechanic he goes to is stumped as well. Thanks for any help with this one.

The shift kit that was in the transmission was a Transgo. The mechanic pulled it out. I don't know what he replaced it with but I would imagine the same. He did put a Corvette valve body in. Also, the mechanic had installed eight heavy duty clutches and I believe thicker bands. I am expecting an e-mail from the mechanic with a list of what was done. I can forward it upon receipt. Martin
