Moving up from the C4 is a no-brainer, especially if he is getting anything for it.

It's Nick's car, Nick's money, and Nick's decision... not yours, not ours, just Nick's.

If he trades the C4 in on something else, it just means someone else will soon have a nice C4 to drive....and I hop they DRIVE the bejezzus out it. Hey, maybe they'll become experts at C4 issues, join the forum, and we can pick their brains....not like your friend Nick.

Getting rid of a late C4 so you can have the next red headed bastard Corvette makes no sense at all. The C5 was the latest and greatest and now it's just another used Corvette.

it does make sense, its called progression. it makes no sense to you ? once the car rolls out the dealer,it used. the C5 is not the latest Vette, but lots of people still consider it the greatest

He should trade it in! Get a stationwagon, take the difference in $ and
Bet he won't drive the wagon much either, but now at least the Vette will be set free

I already posted the C5 is a better car, it looks like
My point is buy a used C6 and have the best Corvette ever, not just a better one.

and you think the transformer on sominex look is better than the c5 ? i beg to differ, but lets not go on too far, a Vette is a Vette. Thank goodness for the C6,it keeps the Vette relevant

I'm sorry to hurt your feelings with the truth, the C5 is just another used car to everyone except their owners. I have no problem keeping my lunch money with my 06 or my 93.

I wonder if he can get $4200.00 for his C4 if he can somehow manage that he could buy this C5

Almost anytime you trade in at a dealer, you get the short end of the deal. I would sell it outright. It will take more time, but he'll get more money in the long run. C5's are a nice car, but a 20k mile C4 is also a great Vette. I'd think real long & hard about it, unless the C5 is a low mile car also.....

there is something seriously wrong with that deal....maybe a salvage or flood title??? $4200. ???? Seems like someone should've put a 1 in front of the 4, which would still be a good deal.

I would keep the '96 because its in great shape, low miles and the theres not that big of a difference in performance to trade for a C5. If he was going to go for a C6, then maybe.
