General C4 question
Hi, I am going to buy a new C4. My last one was just a nightmare so I am going for the nicest one I can afford. I want it to be a TPI car so I am going for a '90 or '91. What year did they make the purple color available on the C4? I am leaning towards that or the teal green.
Thanks in advance, Mike

1995 only year with a Dark Purple Metallic option. Both 90 and 91 had Turquoise Metallic as an optional color.

Dark purple metallic in 1995, 1049 of them. Turquoise Metallic in 1990, 589 of them, 1991, 1621 of them. Bright Aqua Metallic in 1992, 1953 of them. But you can paint your car any color you want and be one of one.

Thanks, I think it will be a turquois '91 convertable with an auto. TPI is a must for me and a black interior if that was an available option.

There's also a few shades of Ruby Red depending on year, some with TPI I believe. Much better color than purple.

Ruby Red's only 1993 40th cars. I don't know what the other burgundy colors might be. I could pull out my black book, but it's late at night. I'm usually not so lazy.
Eh, get a purple car. That way you can wear a red hat and look, well, really silly, but that's the point.

If you really like that teal color, think lowball on the price. Tough sell.

Maybe I was thinking dark red metallic.
It started out as dark red, then later on GM added a purple hue to it.

Another color I hear described as "purple" is Dark Rose Metallic, one of my favorites.

Black Rose was also available in some of the later years (92-95?) and it looks like purple to me.

Black Rose was available in 92. I know that's an LT1, but it's a nice color.

two things...
1. Why is TPI a "must?" it's so old school...
2. You need to unass $12.00 and get a copy of the Corvette Black Book.
