Uh, not many why?
Dale, Im not against you, but you don't understand old cars?
You bought a 1987 car?
...
If you would have taken the time to get to know the car, you'd be fine.
Just like the majority on this forum you bought a Corvette by accident and you'll be moving on shortly.
Best of luck to you.
I have a Saturn Vue that costs me 35c/mile to operate at current gas prices. And I have a 1994 Corvette that costs over $1/mile to operate. If it's not worth the trouble and the money, don't do it.
But the truth nobody should mislead you on is: it's trouble and it's money. So deal with it.

Interesting op cost how did you get $1/per mile as an average cost ?
has anybody checked the injectors? (I've found out that bad ones can be responsible for a few problems)
I replaced mine last April and since then my car (89 vert) has not had any of the problems it had siince when I first bought the car, like the check engine light coming on all the time, and me having to disconnect the battery to reset it every other day, (I've owned the car for almost 9 years now and its running better than when I first got it!)and a no crank/start condition that always seemed to happen when I was 50 miles from home or in a hurry. It seems to me that the bad (3) injectors were somehow responsible for a bad ECM read, which in turn caused the other problems. It only takes a few minutes (10?) to check the injectors. I don't know what your should ohm out at, but mine were supposed to be 16 ohms + or - 3(?) ohms
If all the injectors are the same (set) I'd expect them to be + or - 1. Just because they Ohm out doesn't neccessarily mean they are good. It just means the coils are okay. If they are original and there is one bad one, I'd change them as a set. There are alot of places that will clean and flow test injectors, but for the cost difference I'd probaby go new. JMO
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
