Anti-theft
I have a 1989 vert, and the anti-theft system is not working properly, When the passenger side door is opened the Security light blinks, but no horn sounds, when the drivers side door is opened The security light doesnt even blink.
I went through the test procedure to arm the system, but i cant find anything on the forum to trouble shoot the problem.
fuses are ok, horn works, I lock the doors, wait 15 seconds, try and open the door from inside....no Alarm.
I have searched the forum for any thing already posted on the subject, but didnt find anything.
Any link or suggestion would be helpful

I assume that you are arming the system by using the automatic door lock. If I remember correctly my 89 owners manual states that that is the only way to arm it and using the door key is the only way to dissarm it. I think the blinking security light is just to remind you to arm the system. I'd double check my owner's manual but it's in my car at my mechanics house.
