Default Screw anyone?

....7mm course thread that holds the weather striping along the windshield to be exact.

Ok, here goes my smooth move of the night...... Decided to check the throttle cable to see if WOT was really WOT. Found at least another 1 to 2hp after adjustment.
Then decided to attach emergency hood release cables that Dane (ultraviolet70) sent (thanks Dane). First side went perfect. Second side..... Started thinking to myself becareful not to drop this bolt because it is getting dark out and then..... plunk, plunk, clink... !@#$!@#$%^%$#@ !!!!! Flash light and a telescoping magnet... Nothing
Guess the car was hungry. Not going to tear the whole side apart in the dark.

Anyone have a spare 7mm screw/bolt laying around?

Got the bolt back!!! Took off the rocker panel and side vent panel and there it lay!

A 7x1.0mm is a fairly large bolt and, being an odd size, is not easy to find. Places like Home Depot generally will not carry them.

www.mcmaster.com has them, but only in a very limited type of fastener.

When you say 7mm, are you referring to the bolt size or the head size.....??
(remember; a 1/4" bolt has a nominal head size of 7/16" and a 7mm bolt has a nominal head size of 11mm)

don't meant to butt in, however, While we're on the subject...where can I get a torx bolt that holds the fender well that's mounted under the hood? I read in one of these posts that the dealer doesn't have them.
thanks in advance

Think I have seen them in Ecklers, high cost though, I will look to see if I have some tonight.

You want to talk about engines eating parts? Here's why I always undertake my own work with intrepidation. A few days ago, I decided to clean the area between the radiator and condensor without removing any hoses. The engine ate a 13-mm (head size) fan shroud bolt, a 7-mm radiator shroud bolt and one screw **** from the air duct. Fortunately, I had an extra **** and was able to find the 13-mm bolt. I driving without the 7-mm. Anyone have an extra or know where I can find on of these? These are the metric bolts.

Socket size Larry. Even has a built in washer to help hold down the strip.
