Default Oil changes... etc....

I just got a 93 LT1 with some mods.... headers, 3:73 gears, etc.... I changed the oil and used Mobil 1 per specs..... do I change every 3000 miles with synthetic or not ?... also, what about adding fuel injector cleaner or any additives ?..... thanks.

I have heard you don't have to change synthetic but every 6,000 miles....just the filter. Although I still do it every 3,000 miles! I would use some injector cleaner if you just bought the car, I did when I first bought mine. Just to make sure every thing is up to par and cleaned out!

use Techron fuel injector cleaner or STP, no knock off brands. I tried STP and even though i felt no difference nor heard any, it had to be good for the car.
NO OIL ADDITIVES

JMHO, I still change the oil & filter every 3,000 miles. Synthetic oil will last longer before its viscosity breaks down, but any oil is susceptible to harboring combustion by-products and other contaminants, none of which I would want in my engine for very long...
