Owned my '90 vert since it was new, prior to that I owned 2 1981's with removeable mirrored tops(lot of noise and vibration with tops off). I really, really like the vert especially for trips and I drive mine to the golf course each weekend, my only regret withthe vert is that it did not come with a glass rear window, the plastic window is poor for rear visibility.

The vert looks great with the top down and the targa is a p.i.t.a. to remove. having said that I have two coupes

Best advice is to drive a targa and a vert; take each out onto the Parkway with the top off/down to get the "cruzin' effect" of each.

A weekend car ='s a vert, I'm able to use soft sided suitcases for two and do a 12 hour drive to Carlisle for two people with the top down on a four day trip. With a hard top it's more rigid then a coupe for track days, resale will be better, and you'll enjoy the ride more with the top down!
