...i figured that it would from the heat....what about a vinyl DYE?...it is a color and not a plastic and should not be affected by the heat......

I like the idea, but i always have mine open during shows to show off the stereo equipment in the back.

I have never pulled mine out due to my top being in there at all times...


I would love to make a c5 style one.

Black , out of soft material, so even with the top in it will fit and keep the sun out, also so when you open the hatch it opens with it

Glad I read this. Had plans on doing the same. Keep us posted on what you try. I was thinking of having it machine emroidered. Any thoughts?

My first idea was a separate piece of fabric with a logo etc. It would have to be stitched to the vinyl. I was reluctant to take the shade out of the car so I tried the vinyl letters first. The dye or paint idea might work, however, I fear it might flake and create another problem.
