Has anyone done anything to the privacy screen that pulls out to cover the rear storage area? I was at a show in Lancaster, Oh this weekend and saw some cool logo's on this sreen. I'd like to add something to mine without replacing it. Any Ideas or pictures?

Thought I would share this. Very easy to do using stencils I bought at a craft store.

This is a very interesting idea. Making something nobody ever thinks about look cool. What did you make the letters out of and does it roll up okay?

Thanks! I used Permanent stick on letters i bought at a craft store. They are made by Headline sign (headlinesign.com). They are vinyl, very thin and have an adhesive back. I sprayed the cover with water and 2 drops of dishwashing soap ( this enables you to move the letters around). Once it dries that's it. You can actually see the "grains" of the screen through the letters so one would think they are going to hold up. I'll wait a couple weeks and may border the letters with the Chevy Bow tie using pinstriping.

Very nice, Hondo!

(...even though it's stating the obvious.) How about using the same method, but putting on your CorvetteForum name instead? LIke this, maybe:

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxCORVETTEFORUM.com
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxHondo48

Just don't mess it up by trying to put a bowtie on it..........

....thanks for your reply to my post in #6 although i dont see it here for some reason so here are my questions as follows;

".......excellent but will it stand up to extreeme heat (florida) and being rolled and unrolled?"

and here were your answers;

"A. He doesn't know, since he just did this a few days ago.
B. He doesn't care, since he lives in Ohio."

...thanks again!

That's a thought but I always think" Re-sale" someday. I agree, the "Bowtie" was a thought but "Keep it simple stupid" makes sense. Time will tell on how this holds up but the last couple weeks in Ohio have been as hot as Florida. It rolls up fine.

You don't see it because ten seconds after posting it I read it and decided I was being too much of an azzhat....so I changed it to something "kinder and gentler".

I'm trying to turn over a new leaf, don'tchaknow.....

OK Guys, Here's an update: The vinyl letters are, in fact, lifting after 4 days of heat and being un-rolled. I'll go to plan "B" and investigate some paint using stencils.
I am new to this forum but appreciate the fact that it offers a place for people of common interests to share ideas and information. My intentions were to share an idea. No doubt someone will "Build a better mouse trap" and pass it on.
Let's keep this fun and informative and...............MATURE!

i thought that might happen, you might try a little longer, and use stencils, and paint it... sorry about that, there was a little issue there, but it is resolved, sorry to bring it to your thread
