I have a 90 vert with the six speed. The reverse lights do not operate. Checked the bulbs & fuse which check OK. I suspect the switch, but don't know it's location. Looked under the shifter boot, but didn't find it. Anybody been down this road before? Any guidence is appreciated.
It is on the driver's side of the transmission. You have to go from under the car to get to it. I replaced the one on my 4+3 and it was pretty much, unplug it, unscrew it, screw in a new one, and plug it in. :)

Re: Help on Reverse Lights!!!! (Charcoal Grey 90)
I just did this on my '95 last month. The switch will cost you about $85 from the Chevy dealer. Also, I advise going to Sears and buying an offset wrench. I believe the size is 7/8". A deep socket will fit but then you have no place to put the ratchet. It's all just too tight in there. The offset will make it easy to loosen and tighten the switch but expect to spend a great deal of time as you train your hands to play contortionist to get the new switch threaded in. Then you get to play contortionist again trying to get the connector reattached to the switch. Also, there is a rubber grommet inside the connector that may want to pop out which gives you even more fun. All in all, it was easier than shaving my head with a toothbrush (but not by much).
Yes, I went down that road...you don't want to know where I ended up. That switch is in a BITCH of a location. It can be done though. Bring lots of patience and beer.
The Last Detail has them for $46.00. http://www.tld-corvette.com/catalog.htm or give Jeff a call Jeff Kopp - Wholesale Parts Manager at Superior Chevrolet in Merriam, KS (800-728-8267) Let him know you're on the forum and that I sent you.
Oh yeah, those who have done this little fix won't soon forget it! Patience is a virtue, don't break the clips to the switch getting it off, please take your time here.:)
I replaced the switch on my 87 and had to take a 7/8 socket and turn the outside until I had a .015 in. wall from hex peaks to the body. Be sure to use a 4 jaw chuck and center on the hex flats because they are not on center with the socket body. I don't know how anyone can get this switch out without a thin wall 7/8 socket. I
