No precats and the main cat is suppose to be hollow. I have a high flow cat, but have not got it installed yet. Just need a little time to figure it out.
DOH well there goes those ideas.. Ill step back and let the other pros offer suggestions beyond me.
My butt dyno has been measuring a bit low lately too, but I chalked it up to the insane temperatures, and a tank of iffy fuel
Holy cow you ain't kidding!!!
Those lunchtime drives or going home mid afternoon in the 100* temps lately are killing me. Its like my butt dyno melted and all it wants to do is just ditch the car on the side of the road and take shelter in a 7-11 by the slurpee machine.
Finally got some time to work on the car. I had my brother in law come over to help. I turned the key and it only cranked and wouldn't start. I went ahead and swapped the ECM with my spare with a stock chip as the other chip had just been tuned before I drove it. We checked the spark with a timing light and all 8 flashed. I checked fuel pressure and had 35 psi with the key on. Checked the injector ref pulses with a noid light and all blinked while cranking. Checked the fuses, all were good. I swapped the CTS with a new one and no change.
Finally sprayed starting fluid in the intake and it would start and run, but back fire. Went to the gas tank and shook it and heard nothing. My fuel level gauge reads full all the time and I have already cleaned the sending unit with no effect. Went to the nearest station and got 5 gal of fuel and put in the tank. Turned the key and it would only crank and not start. Used some more starting fluid and it started and ran on its own. Went for a drive and the power is restored.
Weird thing is, the car idled fine for 5 or so minutes then I shut it off. The next day it would not start. It did not die or sputter as if it was running out of fuel. I guess I need a new fuel gauge sending unit so it doesn't happen again. I feel like a dumbass, but it's runnning great now.
