Wave at every one I see unless it would be a distraction or unwise. I will wave in rush hour traffic, but if I'm trying to merge or change lanes or watch for other cars trying to merge I won't. I am trying to pay attention to traffic, not being a snob. Same if I see another Vette and I think they may be trying to pay attention. I'll wave, but don't expect them to return the wave. Thats OK.
I don't think it is a C1 vs C2 vs C3 vs C4 vs C5 thing. Some people just don't know. Others are just Corvette drivers. The ones who wave are Corvette people who are living the dream and all that goes with it.
When I see a pair of wide set lights low to the ground approaching me, I know it is another C5, so I can get ready to :seeya

My experience is about the same as many others. I wave at all the vettes I see and get about 50% returned.
I have 35% tinted windows, so with the windows up I am not sure they always see.
I will always remember the first wave I got. It was around the second day I had the vette. Made me feel great! :)

I wave to every single Vette that I see. Some days it seems like no one is waving, others I'll go 5 for 5 or so. If someone doesn't wave back don't let it discourage you, maybe they don't know about the wave or they didn't see you. It's weird how everyone says that C5s never wave, but I would say that maybe 50% of C3s wave to me, 75% C4s, and C5s are like 90%. Maybe it depends where u live, I dunno..

I go out of my way to wave. Even if I see another Vette like 500 yards away in the opposite lane waiting to merge I'll wave. It's obligatory with me. I get responses about 3 out of fives times so not bad.
The C-3 cats wave every time, the C-4 cats are pretty consistent, too. Hate to say it, but it's the C-5 cats who don't respond MOST of the time although I did get a hail from a good-looking slim driving a white C-5 Vert last week. That was pretty cool! :cool:

I wave everytime Most c-5 owners have no clue what is going on, (FIRST TIME VETTE OWNER)I wonder what they are thinking when they see people waving at them,sooner or later i think they will figure it out(we hope)
