I have a 1990 vert. It has sport seats. I have a new set of standard seats. I am thinking about putting them on my sport seat frames. Al Knock tells me all I have to do is take a couple of rivits off the wings and then install the new seats.
1. Is this easy?
2. Can they (sport seat wings) be replace easily at a later date?
3. Or should I save the sport seats and buy a set of standard seat
frames?
Thanks

Will I be the only one to try this? Maybe I better look for used frames just in case?
thanks

Supposedly the sport seat wings are pretty much welded on. There was someone a while back that removed the wings and side bolsters to make his seating situation more roomier. He pulled the seats apart and had to basically cut the wing's supports and brackets off. It wasn't reversible.
i'd just swap seats with someone if you can.
I was looking to do this as well and after seeing what was involved, decided not to. I sold my sport seats dirt cheap and bought some used 94 standard seats. They were WAAAYYYY nicer to sit in than the early C4 seats any day!!!
