climate control question...
Ok, awhile back i noticed a clicking noise coming from under the driverside knee panel. Every time it clicked the engine pulsed. I noticed the other day the A/C compressor was engaged but I had the A/C off. So today I did checking and it seems the clicking noise was coming from the A/C relay and the pulsing was being caused by the compressor kicking in and out and by in and out I mean about three times a second, thats probably what caused the clutch to shell out originally. From the digrams it looks like the relay gets its coil power from the automatic climate controller. So does this sound like the control unit is bad or shorted out and sending intermitten power to the relay causing this to happen?
If so will a automatic climate control work from a 91 for a 90.
however, there is a way to check for codes in the system... and my first guess is that yours is low on coolant.
If you have the Helm manual, use it. It will have the diagnostic steps needed.
I am not suggesting you throw parts at this quite yet. hell, the relay could be bad... I honestly don't know.
