I recently took possession of a '93 vert with a black fabric top and plastic rear window.
The window is kind of cloudy/hazy looking and I was hoping that I might be able to clear it up a bit. I don't believe the top is the original, it looks too new.
There are severalk brands of plastic polish, they work just like an auto polish. I get minr thru Eckler's, but you can find them at some aoto parts stores. BTW, I also use a "pillow" when I put the top down.

Go to a boating supply house and pick up a plastic polish product.
The pillow is placed into the crease where the plastic window folds in as you lower the top. I have used a rolled up beach towel with great success. The theory is that as you drive the two sections of the window in the top down position rub against each other and cause scratches on each surface. The rolled up towel or long thin pillow tube keeps this from happening.
Corvetteron gave a good explanation of a pillow, it is basically a long tube of foam covered with a soft cloth if you buy one. I thot it wouldn't make that much difference, had a brand new rear window and had been using a pillow, left it behind on a weekend trip, and when I put the top back up there were scatches that I couldn't get out with polish. So now I always use my pillow. Next I will be taking my blankey with...
