Default 89 lights.

My 89 passenger side turn signal light(yellow lens)and same side marker light(on right front side of car)do not work. I changed the bulbs for new ones at Carlisle...but lights still not working. Strangest thing is....A test light touched to each light socket shows power to each socket. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cliffs notes: Check ALL your bulbs for a burned out/bad bulb and replace the fuse.

--------

I had this same issue for a long time (4-5 years)
Passenger side turn signal did not work, and previously blew fuses all the time. if I replaced a fuse, it would blow the bulb...this was an endless cycle.

After several years of this, I finally got tired of it and decided to start checking bulbs again the other day. I found my front pasenger fog light was blown as well as the front turn signal. I replaced both those and the fuse and then my turn signal was working again.

Day later I was driving to work before the sun was up and someone yelled that my tail lights were out. Weird. I noticed my radio and AC control lights were out also. Double weird. Sure enough, the fuse was blown again for the lights.

I replaced it and all worked. Tails, signals, fronts, center console, etc, it all worked.... the next day.. SAME thing happened again.

I replaced it with the next size fuse up and have not had a single issues since then.

I have NO idea why it is doing this, or why it worked for a while, then stopped, then started acting up again, etc. Its completely random.

Clamp your test light lead to a 12 volt supply and probe the sockets for "ground".
