Tranny Problems?
Ive got a '92 Camaro RS Im about to sell. Its got the 700r4. Occasionally the shifter will get stuck in neutral and will only move to overdrive D. But after a few minutes of messing with it it'll go back in reverse and everything else will work fine. (this happened today after backing up I had tried to put it in drive to move up but it got stuck in neutral.) Car has a shift kit in it btw.

Have you looked in the console to see if it's just the shifter linkage? I'd say it's either end of the shift linkage or the cable. All easy fixes and nothing to do with the actual transmission.
