I got $10 in gas last night on the way home cuz I was on empty, just made my overdue ins. payment before they canceled me now I just gotta get caught up on my rent with a luck little, man its just not easy sometimes. On the bright side my Vette makes me smile and realize things could be worse, thank God its a good car and doesn't give me a lot of trouble, knock wood, and I love my mom and my family and friends, they keep me goin too. Life is good

Pay off the lake house or invest the $60k and take your investment income which would pay for the majority of a car payment. That way, the 60k stays liquid and you get a Vette paid for by the proceeds of wise investments.
Debt is horrible only if the interest on that debt is higher than the amount you can get in investment income. Liquid cash is better than hard assets!

I paid $5900 for my 89 vert and don't owe a dime to anyone. I had debt and it owns you. Maybe I'm just an old working stiff, but I sure love my car, and no payments. My car is nowhere near as fast as most forum members cars,but still fun, and I can get a ticket anywhere in the USA for almost doubling the speed limit.

You're against everything......
Sometimes it gets old that is posts about my car overheating, clutch going out, trans slips, etc.
I posted this as a joke....something to laugh about. I don't have any "wealth", Im 63 and my sole income is $734.00 a month from SSI.
But I've been a guy car all of my life and the only car that has ever made me dream of some day owning is the Corvette.
If it wasn't for being an American and owing a Corvette there would'nt be much out there for me to dream about.
I remember the night that I first saw a black 63 Stingray coupe like it was yesterday.
Few things make that kinda of impression on anyone.
You guys are the greatest.
