Default CF Injection vs. TP Injection
I am considering buying another C4.

What are the differences between the '84 Cross Fire Injection system & the '85 (& later) Tune Port Injection system?

I still want to do as much of the maintenance as I can. But, I am just wanting an idea of what I am getting myself into. I have never owned or worked on a Cross Fire Injection system.

I've never owned a crossfire but from what I understand it's just dual throttle body injection. Nothing too scary.

Ive owned an 84 and an 85. YNK1121 is right crossfire is just a dual throttle body setup. TPI has 8 fuel injectors. Go for the TPI if its an option!

Drove '84's. I've owned a '85. Go with the TPI. More power and better fuel economy.

TBI sucks..its old technology and is bad for gas milage.
newer fuel injection technology is much better all around... go with the L98!
