Default Fuel rail covers

Got a wild hair last weekend and painted my rail covers to match my car (quazar blue). Thanks for the tips.

The only way I could get the Ruby color to match exactly was to supply the paint code to an auto paint supply. That particular paint is a real PITA to match otherwise. I was told they could match the color perfectly and was delighted when they did so. I have a buddy that did body repair on the side and he offered to shoot the parts for me. I did the lettering myself with a silver paint marker you can get at any craft store.

I use Duplicolor primer, paint, and clear-coat that I bought at Autozone. Yea, that red tb cover does look out of place now.

Very nice look! I have thought about painting mine, but then the Vette is black, so I guess it matches to start with, so I added some trim instead.

Jughead, that is a rare color, purple or what do they call it?

With all of the pictures I have seen I never before realized the 93 fuel rail covers were so different from my 95. Do they install the same way?

The color is Ruby Red that came on the 40th Anniversary Ruby package. The whole car...exterior, interior and rag top are that color.

Yes the fuel rail covers were different that my 94 but they remove/install the same.

The outlining and letter coloring is a snap with the markers I mentioned in my previous thread.

Thanks for the compliments fellas.

FYI guys. There was a guy on eBay that was selling polished aluminum TB covers..some were etched to order. Do a search for LT1 throttle body covers and see if he's still around.

Be safe out there guys and good luck.
