Default Fuse blocks

I need help in locating fuse blocks on my 89 Vette Convertible. I know of the fuse block located on the right side of the dash, but need to find the fuse block which houses the fuses for the cooling fan relays.

Thanks,

Rocky

Got a 93 but mine is hidden just above the battery near the firewall. I only found it by tracing out the Pos(+) batt terminal when looking for a good place to tie in my amp.

To troubleshoot the primary fan, short Pin A to Pin B on the diag. connector located above the drivers right knee.

[F|E|D|C|B|A]
[G|H|J|K|L|M|

Turn ignition On. The Primary Fan Relay should engergize. You'll also hear hear a clicking noise which is the IAC motor.

Primary Fan Relay is located on the driverside plastic wheel well housing just below the front of the brake master cylinder.

The relay has four wires. Two smaller gage wires for the primary. and two larger gage wires for the relay output.

Pink/Black is 12 volts from the ECM/ENG 10 amp fuse located in the passengerside dash/end fuse panel.. The fuse is Hot when the ignition is On or Start.

Green/White wire. ECM grounds this wire to engergize the relay.

When the relay closes, 12 volts from the Red wire which is from a 12 volt Fusible link (Hot at all times, originates from the battery jumper block which is behind and below the battery) goes thru the relay and to the Black/Red wire which provides 12 volts to the Primary Fan Motor.

The Auxilary fan.
Primary gets 12 volts from the ECM/ENG 10 amp fuse Dark Blue wire which is hot when the ignition is On or Start.

To energize the relay, the Green/White wire is grounded by the Fan Switch. The relay closes. Red wire is protected by a Fusible link (Hot at all times). 12 volts passes thru the relay to the Black/Red wire which goes to the Auxilary Fan Motor.

The Auxilary Fan Relay is located on the driverside radiator shroud. To test it, turn the ignition key to On. No need to ground A to B on the diag. connector.

There is a fan switch screwed into the driverside head between the 1 and 3 spark plug. Squeeze the single wire electrical connector and it will pull off. Ground the wire and the Auxilary fan should run.
