Just installed new outer window seals on the
door. After I was done, at dark with flashlight,
I noticed some scratches on the windows,
dont know if I just did not notice it before.
Is there any way to fix them?
I have been thinking about trying to fix my side glasses as well. I have come up with two solutions. One take it to a local glass specialist or two do it myself with a repair kit like the one the Eastwood Company's "Glass Polishing Kit Pro" (item 40011). This consists primarily of a polishing wheel and some glass polish ("Rhodite", as it turns out). Good luck and post before and after pictures if you would.
Its really a shame, it has a great tint
job on it. What do you guys think may
have caused the scratches?
When I drilled out the rivets some metal
shavings got down into the window
track. I cleaned it out the best I could.
Has this happened to any of you after
replacing window seals?
If not please help me brainstorm, when I
fix it I want to fix it right.

You should try some of that Lens Clear **** they have on recent infomercials. Never tried it before myself and it sounds half-assed but you never know. Considering your next option would be really replacing the whole glass window if you technically want to do it "right". I noticed the same **** on mine and Im thinkin one of two options did it, or a combination of both: a.)birds clawing it thinking the reflection is water-like or another bird when their dumb asses fly into it. or b.) Something is scratching the window inside the mechanisms slightly over time as it moves up and down in the door. I've got tint of mine and plan to get them replaced soon because of it. It's not really that big of a deal as they dont look too obviously jacked. Its minor ****. But still I see it of course, as any obsessive-compulsive owner.
Did you guy's ever try the kit from Eastwood co. They have a thick buffing mandrel that goes into your drill chuck and a window polishing compound that you use that's if they aren't to deep. www.eastwood.com Pipe
