In my 94 when I bought the car at night the door panel lights worked fine. But after I took off the door panel to fix the broken window track, and after I put every thing back together. At night the little light above the door opener does not light up along with the window switch. But when you open the door the light works. I am sure I plugged everything back in and all the switches work like they are suppose to. What could be wrong, or what am I over looking
You are refering to the light inside the door handle release correct? If so, I am pretty sure it should come on when you unlock/open the door(s). The lights for the window switch should come on when the dash lights come on, when the headlight switch has been turned on.

they do all that. but when you drive the little amber light shines dim on the drive side, but not on the pass side
There are two bulbs in there. One lights when the door is open and the amber one lights with the headlights. Did you check to see if there is a blown fuse? Always start by checking the easy stuff first. If no fuses are out then I'd check the bulb.

Anyone know what bulb the amber one is? My FSM doesn't even MENTION the amber ones as far as I can tell. Neither does the Owner's Manual.
Looking at the amber one, it appears to be some kind of a "peanut" or "mini" bulb, but I'll be danged if I can figure out how to pull the bulb out of it's socket.
I'm wondering if you have to cut the wires to the socket and replace the bulb and socket as a unit
The local parts house says he has to send me to the dealer for it. Dealer's parts dept is closed on weekends, of course.

Don't worry, no problems mon.
Go to Auto Zone, O'riely's and get a Eiko brand light bulb number 74. You are correct, there ain't a word about this bulb in the shop manuel. I had the same problem, took the panel (NOT the door panel) off (the panel above the door handle).
There the bulb was, ain't nottin in the manuel about it. So I went to Auto Zone (maybe O'riley's-ain't sure which-the 1st place just blowed me off). The 2nd place was kinda slow and the parts guy wanted something to do, so we looked in the book (they had 2 bulbs that looked like the one I'd pulled out) and we couldn't find the difference. The parts guy even called the support number he had and they didn't know wth he was talking about. I figured one bulb had a higher output than the other, but, the catalog (with specs) didn't show any difference.
So, I bought both (2 bulbs in each pack) was about $1.50 each (pack) and came home and put a Number 74 in and it looks just like the one in the driver's door. I put the other bulbs in the tray behind the pass seat for future use.

How do you remove the dead bulb...(yes, it's clear...the amber is the lens cover)??? I've pulled on the bulb a bit....doesn't seem to want to pull out.....doesn't look like it twists out.
Kinda looks like bulb and socket are 1 unit and you replace the whole thing.
Thanks for dat!
