Another precious moment with the vette, Went out tonight to finish wiring the new pioneer head unit.......and noticed a 4 foot wet spot
under the front drivers side car tire...

Heres my question, while putting speakers in the doors..i pushed the vette around the garage a bit, turning the wheel...a little to give me a bit more room to open the door.....i think i blew a power steering line or something..the fluid is definatley from the PS.

the PS resivoir is almost empty, did i inadvertanly, damage something while turning the wheel without the car running?

Live and learn i guess......

Ive seen this before, big puddle under the car..then...for weeks nothing, i guess theres so many places it could leak from.

I've seen reservoir's puke when turning the wheel (engine off), so don't fret yet.
Fill the res and the degrease the area. Check/tighten the screw clamps on low pressure return line.
When it's dry, start her up and do some full left, full right turns of the wheel. Then go look for wet spots.

No help on the PS pump Chris, but did you get the headlight issue worked out?

Hi Matt,

Nope, it has to be in the driving lights, when i turn them off, the lights are equally bright.

I am troble shooting the ground in the front end, and cleaning all the connections, but if i do find it, i'll send you a note.

Thankyou Dan, seems as though that might have been it....for some reason, this is the second time It's happened. A few months ago..same thing..filled it back up, had my son turn the wheels, while i looked for signs of leakage...nothing...

But on a brighter note...new stereo is in..sounds pretty decent.
