The car... 90 L98 6 Spd

Ok, so I'm driving home from a trip out of town, 250 miles round trip. the car is running GREAT, I get to where I'm about 5 miles (if that far) from my house and I pull over to the side of the road to stop at a roadside flower stand to pick up some roses for the girlfriend. You know the kind, it's somebody that's parked a van on the side of the road, put out some flowers, setup some umbrellas. Ok so I shut off the car and go to buy the roses, I ask how much and she says $20 for two dozen... COOL, this should score a few points and the roses look nice, but I only see about a dozen, no problem, how much for a dozen, $10, ok I'll take them, so I pull out a $20 and she asks me if I have a $10 because she has no change, I don't and shee doesn't have anything else that the girlfriend would like, so now I'm walking away empty handed, disappointed, but oh well, I'll buy some roses tomorrow.

Ok, back to the car...

So I get back in the car.... Remember it was running GREAT before I stopped. I start the car and now it's idling at about 1800 rpm, hmmm, the "Service Engine Soon" light is on now too, well I'm only a couple of miles from home and I've also got to get to work, so I drive it home, hmmm, the speedometer is showing 0, the avg miles per gallon display shows 0, it was displaying 30.5 before I shut the car off and it's intermittently displaying SYS. Oh by the way, the car is running like crap now.

I had to go to work, so I haven't had a chance to try and pull any codes. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Troy

You have to pull the codes, could be many things. Is your alt charging OK? Ever have any trouble w/ the ECM?
