Gonna install new fuel pump in my 87.Noticed Delco pump purchased has a new pigtail with it.Anyone know if any soldering is involved or just spliceing? Many thanks.
My new pump came from Napa, different connectors. orange wire fit right up, the black (ground did not. so I used the new black, cut old one off 1/4 from where it was welded to rail and soldered. still only took 30 minutes.
My new pump did not come with a sock, I had to purchase it from Auto zone.

One of the easiest things I have done on any corvette. I got a AC Delco replacement, Followed the directions, took my time....kept the smokers away as I worked....took about an hour! You might also want to replace fuel filter as mine was almost completely blocked.
