Grrrrrrrrowl
I purchased my 1st Vette roughly 2 months ago (96 C.E.Vert with Lt1 Automatic).
29K Miles
The day after I brought it home I replaced all the fluids.
1. Drain & Flush coolant.
2. Oil & Filter
3. Power Steering Fluid
4. Transmission Fluid & Filter.
5. Rear Differential Fluid including the Limited Slip Additive.
Every morning when leaving for work and every evening when leaving for home I get a slight GROWL from what appears to be the rear end. It only lasts about 1 second and then it's gone. It happens when pulling out forward or reverse and usually within the 1st 50 Feet of driving. It only happens once. After that, when I stop and go I never hear it again. This noise has been there since day one and I thought I'd run it by you folks to see if you could shed some light on the issue. Is this Growl normal? Maybe some motor or pump or sensor kicking on? Or am I in for some big problem down the road?
The only thing I did not do after changing the Rear Dif. was to drive the recommended "Figure Eights" I have read about in some previous post.
Thanks in advance for all your help!

The unit is in the compartment behind the drivers seat, under the carpet.

closer now that I know which direction to listen.
