Since we are talking about Red's.
My 'Hawk is Bright Red and my Vette is Torch Red. Definatley a difference in the shades of Red.

Here's my Bright Red '90:
Pictures of different cars in different lighting won't show the difference. If you are ever at a 'vette show, try to look at the two reds side-by-side.

Here are some pics of my 93 Torch Red, and "Sam Lam's" 89 Bright Red.
You can see a little bit of a difference between the colors.
Bright Red is a darker Red than the Torch Red, and Torch Red has an orange hue to it.
Both are great shades of Red...

yes there is a lot of orange in torch red, I watched them mix my paint and there was lots of orange tint added.

"All Corvettes are RED, the others are just mistakes!!" Just finished reading book with this great quote from one of the test drivers for the C5 in the early '90s. Sorry, for going next gen, but quote appropriate to the C4 as well!!

But if you had a Torch Red car next to it in the exact same lighting, the Torch Red would look more orange. While not a huge difference, it is easily discernible when the cars are next to each other.
Anyway, yeah, red's the best. Though I'd trade my car for an identical Steel Blue one any day.

I always thought that was kind of a dumb quote. I mean, the first Corvette wasn't even red. But it was a fitting title for kind of a dumb book.
