Ok I need to replace the (VSS) vehicle speed sensor, ok now here is my question Where is this Vss located? and how hard is it to install this little sensor? Im clueless What do I need to do?
Don't know if it makes any difference or not, but are you manual or A4??
I think the VSS on the auto is on the drivers side of the tail on the trans. Shud be a darkgrn/wht wire. You'll probably get some fluid out when you pull the unit.
I think the manual VSS is in the same area as the A4, but not sure?
FWIW on my 90 6spd its on the driver's aside down towards the tail section. It looks tight up there too....maybe the exh has to come down to work comfortably.
Ok so its on the drivers side at the tail of the tranny thanks alot and yeah its a A4 btw...How hard is it to remove this sensor anything I should know before taking it out???

Remove electrical connection, 1 bolt, sensor & "O" ring. Some fluid will come out so be ready with a suitable contained.
well I looked at it and it looks like I will have to take the exhaust off to get to that sensor cause I cant get my hand in there all the way so I prolly wont be able to get a socket in there either
