How to replace auto shift indicator
'87 coupe.
I am replacing the plexiglas auto shift indicator. Is there any short cuts for this? My Haynes and Chiltons do not really give good explanation, FSM is on order.

I can tell you have to take part drivers dash, than center dash and now you can take part center dash.
One you remove the center dash look close at the indicator, cause when you re-install make sure you slip the indicator into the bracket, or it won't work, and you will have to take a part the whole thing again.
You will have to remove the shifter ****, easy. Pull the button straight out, and look inside you will see a snap ring, remove it **** slips straight up.
Have fun. I have taken it apart several times. It's quick.
