I have been looking for a set of rims like these. Decades ago I had a set of Cragar/SST (Street Super Trick) wheels on my '64. I can't figure out what I can make work on my black '87 convertible. Nobody makes them in a 16" diameter. I'd have to go with a different size rim and consequently with different size tires. Also, dealing with the offset and potential caliper clearance issues has me dragging my feet on the whole thing.

Turbines off my '85, 255 16s.
No adaptors; bolt pattern the same, offsets???
I had to knock the center caps out on the fronts for the hubs to fit through.
Tire rub in sharp turns.
I only did it for fun, took them off the same day (It looks silly, lowered the truck an inch)

How would it look with the same rims, and some 31" TSL thornbirds on the corners, and 1.5" of lift???

17" x 9.5" wide direct bolt on ZR-1 "style" wheels. I have no idea what kind of wheels they are but I like them. They were on the car when I bought it. If anyone could tell me what kind they are I would really appreciate it.
Anyway, I like the look of the late model style wheels on the older C4's. I think they make these cars look newer.

This is not my car but this are the rims I have, but I havent had a chance to put them on yet. I wanted dynamags but they are expensive as hell and impossible to find. These were made by american racing I belive and they are 17X10. I have no idea of the model or when they stopped making them but I have seen them around, and I think they look a lot like dynamags without the huge price tag.

I can't recall the manufacturer, but they were originally used on Pontiac Trans Am's that had been modified to Firehawks by SLP. They're getting to be pretty rare and hard to come by now as they're no longer made. Gotta be careful with them though, as the original manufacturer did not do a great job of the chrome plating and the insides of the wheels start to look pretty bad with surface pitting after a while.

17 x 9.5 all the way around. www.lakeshorewheelandtire.com and click on the "corvette specials" tab. $1400 rims and tires mounted, balanced, and shipped.
Looks good with the sharp lines on the early C4s.
